Plasti-Crate has been a huge part of my family life for many years.
In the early 1980's, my father and my uncle decided to go into business together and purchased a company that manufactored and sold pet carriers.
My parents had raised and shipped puppies for many years so they had a good background in this field ... the pet carrier business was a good fit.
The original carriers were the old clam style designed and used to ship puppies and kittens all over the United States. After using this type of carrier for several years my father decided that he would like to design a new pet carrier - one that was airline approved and had a front loading door. Dad wanted them to be sturdy, strong, and durable. He wanted ventilation on all four sides. A quality pet carrier was a must. That was the beginning of the pet carrier you see on the market today.
There have been a few changes over the course of almost 30 years -- but overall the carrier has remained true to my father's original design ... it is still one of the most practical and favored pet carriers on the market today!
Although my father has retired and my uncle is no longer directly involved in the day to day operation of Plasti-Crate, we are still a family business. We still operate with the same values that we have since the beginning.
In December of 2006, my father retired and I took over the family business. I am very proud to be able to follow in my father's footsteps. I work very hard and try to run Plasti-Crate with the same honestly and integrity that my father did.
A quality product and customer service is still our number one priority.
